AMAZON SEASONAL SAVINGS & TOP SALES

Amazon reliably throws massive sales during its Prime Day event and during Black Friday. It also offers regular Amazon coupon offers and discounts throughout the year. Many products on Amazon are sold via third-party sellers. These companies determine the prices of their items. In some instances, the sellers offer discounts on select items. Amazon offers trial memberships for Amazon Prime, Audible.com and Kindle Unlimited. Each year, the company offers special discounts on Amazon Prime Day that allow you to try some of these membership services for a much lower cost.

AMAZON PRIME DAY

Amazon Prime Day takes place every year, usually in mid-July, and features 48 hours of special deals. Amazon is known to run some early deals, too, so start checking in the leadup. Some of the best deals from Prime Days past have been on Amazon’s own products, like the Echo and Echo Dot speakers, Amazon Fire Tablets, and Amazon clothing. It’s often an opportunity to buy these items at their lowest prices of the year, commonly at discounts up to 50% off or more.

Shoppers can expect to find plenty of Amazon Prime Day deals on the latest tech as well, like Apple products, Roomba vacuums, and smart home electronics. One of our favorite Amazon Prime Day promotions is discounted gift cards, which we’ve seen up to 25% off in the past. Another great Prime Day buy? Subscriptions. For example, you can often try services like Amazon Music Unlimited for free, or get a big discount.

PRIME BIG DEAL DAYS

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale takes place in October, but don’t be surprised if you see some early discounts popping up in the weeks leading up to it to get your extra-early holiday shopping started. Similar to Amazon’s famous Prime Day sale, this event will feature 48 hours of deals on Amazon devices as well as electronics, home goods and more from popular brands like Dyson, Shark, Ninja, Barbie, LG and Sony. Like Prime Day and similar big Amazon sales of the past, the event is exclusive to Prime members, but new customers can try Prime free for 30 days.

AMAZON BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

The Amazon Black Friday sale usually runs the entire Thanksgiving week. Expect some of the best pricing of the year on Amazon’s smart home devices, tablets, Apple products, fashion and more. Amazon also offers discounts on its own services, like Audible and Amazon Music Unlimited. And don’t forget to check out the Amazon Black Friday gift card deals, as you can sometimes save off the face value of gift cards from major merchants.

AMAZON BLACK FRIDAY COUPONS

Amazon coupon offers are also sprinkled throughout its Black Friday sale. You’ll sometimes see these extra offers for additional discounts or freebies/bundled items as you shop. AMAZON BUY NOW, PAY LATER

Amazon Monthly Payments is a pay-over-time option available on select products. When shopping, find it within the Payment Options section of the product page. This option allows you to receive the item right away (with an initial down payment) and then pay a certain amount every 30 days until the item is paid off.

In addition to Amazon’s Monthly Payments program (see above), you can use Affirm and Klarna to pay overtime — you’ll just need to shop Amazon via these apps and use them as your payment method.

AMAZON SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

Amazon has expanded its delivery options impressively, and its delivery benefits are especially sweet for Prime members. It offers same-day delivery (free for Prime members on orders over $25); free two-day shipping (unlimited for Prime members); fresh grocery delivery; pickup lockers; in-store pickup at its physical locations and more. Shipping costs vary for each delivery option. It has tried a lot of delivery experiments over the years, including the ability to have your order dropped off in your car trunk, which it ended in 2021.

RETURNS & REFUND POLICY AT AMAZON

Amazon’s return policy depends on the items that customers purchase, but most items sold and shipped by Amazon are eligible for free returns. Customized product returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase. Electronics can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
